3 Product Overview

GXA9555 is designed for general-purpose input/output (GPIO) port expansion. Port data is transmitted via the standard 2-wire I²C protocol with a maximum communication rate of 1 MHz (up to 2 MHz when high-speed mode is enabled).

GXA9555 features 16 push-pull GPIO ports capable of directly driving LEDs. Each GPIO bit can be individually configured as an input or output, with input as the default state after power-up.

Each port of GXA9555 integrates a 100 kΩ weak pull-up resistor to set a default high logic level for every GPIO pin.
