3 Product Overview

GXTR3124 is a high-precision, low-power digital temperature sensor with SMBus and I²C interface. In addition to measuring its own local temperature, it can simultaneously monitor temperatures from up to two remote sensing diodes.

GXTR3124 integrates series resistance cancellation, programmable η factor correction, beta detection with automatic compensation, and programmable temperature limits, delivering a reliable high-precision and low-power temperature monitoring solution.

GXTR3124 is ideal for remote temperature sensing using on-chip NPN/PNP transistors in advanced-node server and processor devices. It supports compensation for PNP transistors configured in diode connection with beta values ranging from 0.09 to 21.36 to achieve high-accuracy temperature readings.

The typical temperature accuracy of the GXTR3124 local and remote channels is ±0.5 °C and ±1 °C respectively. All channels offer a temperature resolution of 0.00390625 °C and a measurement range of -55 °C ~ +150 °C. Operating from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, the GXTR3124 is available in a 10-pin MSOP 3 mm × 3 mm package for easy system integration.
